Department of Veterans Affairs

Veterans Health Care
The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system and serves nine million enrolled veterans each year. Community Care
For veterans eligible for VA health care, VA’s goal is to provide veterans with the care they need at the right time, at the right place, from the right provider. In some cases, veterans may need to receive care from a local community care provider, paid for by VA.
VA Home Loans
The VA helps service members, veterans, and eligible surviving spouses become homeowners. VA provides a home loan guarantee benefit and other housing-related programs to help veterans buy, build, repair, retain, or adapt a home for personal occupancy.

Combating Veteran Homelessness
VA’s specialized programs for homeless veterans serve hundreds of thousands of homeless and at-risk veterans each year. Independently and in collaboration with federal and community partners, VA programs provide veterans with housing solutions, employment opportunities, health care, justice- and reentry-related services and more.
